VanGuard 1125SP Stereo Microscope with Binocular Head and Pole Stand, 10X Eyepiece, 1X and 4X Objective, 10X and 40X MagnificationVanGuard 1125SP Stereo Microscope with Binocular Head and Pole Stand, 10X Eyepiece, 1X and 4X Objective, 10X and 40X Magnification Detail :

The Van Guard 1125SP stereo microscope has binocular viewing heads, and a magnification ability of up to 10X or 40X, with dual objective magnification configurations of 1X and 4X, for a range of application ability. This microscope enhances object or image resolution with a stereo optical system that produces three-dimensional images. It is commonly used in basic research and for educational applications.

The 1125SP features binocular viewing heads that ease eye strain and provide a more comprehensive view. The heads have a fixed, 45-degree vertical inclination, and rotate 360 degrees. The microscope has 51-71 mm interpupillary adjustment, and - 5 to + 5 dioptric adjustment capabilities. It has a 20.0 mm field of view (FOV) for the 1X, 5.0 mm FOV for the 4X, and a 102 mm working distance (WD). It has a 10X widefield eyepiece magnification, and a 20 mm eyepiece field diameter. The stereo optics have revolving turret objectives that are parfocal, to stay in focus when objectives are rotated, and par-centered, so that the specimen remains in the center of view when the objectives are rotated. The stage plate is reversible to black and white, and the microscope has two, locked on, stainless steel, spring-loaded stage clips for durability. The microscope has dual, knurled adjustment knobs for focus control. It has rack and pinion assembly, a slip clutch mechanism, and a tension control mechanism to protect the gears. The microscope has a solid, stainless steel pole stand with 65 mm of total vertical travel ability, and vertical clearance of 65 to 175 mm. The microscope has a stain-resistant and durable cast-metal body with an enamel finish, and anti-skid rubber feet. It comes with two eyecups, a dust cover, an operation manual, and a five-year warranty.

The 1125SP overall dimensions are 390 x 150 x 230 mm (H x W x D), with base dimensions of 150 x 230 mm (W x D). It weighs 2.9 kg.

Microscopes are instruments used to enhance the resolution of an object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes use a compound optical system with an objective lens and an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in a three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are used to display an image on a monitor, rather than looking through a lens. Microscopes can have monocular (one), binocular (two), or trinocular (three) eyepieces, with varying viewing abilities. A trinocular eyepiece is used to output digital images or video to an internal or external device such as a camera or monitor. Magnification ability refers to the size of an image. Resolution, also known as resolvant power, refers to the clarity of the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and working distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification through a fixed focus, or through a range of adjustments. They can also use LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and in the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.
